Centre Philosophy

Wahroonga After School Care strives to provide a consistent environment that is secure, warm and caring towards all cultures, religions, genders, abilities and is therefore designed to complement the children’s home environment and provide optimum care and opportunity for development.

We believe that the children’s individual backgrounds must be respected and acknowledged though out all daily interactions, routines and as part of the program.

We endeavor to maintain open lines of communication with parents, staff, children and the school.

“Because good child care is so important it should not be treated as a commodity or business. While I understand the need for Services to be viable and secure, what is most important are the values and cultures of each Service and it’s commitment to the holistic care for those children”
Professor Fiona Stanley. 2008. “Child Welfare and Child Care”
